The Sufi Saint as a Living Sign of Divine Mercy
The Sufi Saint represents those righteous servants of God who walk on earth as living symbols of divine mercy. Their lives are marked by simplicity, sincerity, humility, and deep piety. They neither seek fame nor claim supernatural powers. Their true mission is far greater: to connect people directly with Allah, the Ultimate Giver, rather than attaching hearts to themselves.
This is why a true Sufi Saint never desires crowds, devotion, or dependency. Instead, such individuals constantly remind people that all blessings come solely from Allah and that a human being is nothing more than a means.
The Dangerous Illusion of Fame and Collective Misguidance
Unfortunately, a troubling social pattern has emerged. Whenever people hear about a saintly figure or someone believed to possess spiritual insight, they rush toward them with bags full of wishes, prayers, and worldly demands. This behaviour contradicts the very essence of faith, as Allah Himself invites His servants to call upon Him directly.
Due to this misunderstanding, many genuine Sufi figures deliberately choose to remain anonymous. They retreat into obscurity so that people’s attention remains fixed on Allah alone. This conscious withdrawal from recognition is a defining trait of the Sufi Saint described in this story.
A True Story Preserved in Spiritual Literature
The life story of this Anonymous Sufi Saint was narrated in a spiritual account published in Monthly Sarguzasht, January 2012 (Mystery Edition), and later read aloud by AwazeUrdu in a video presentation. The saint intentionally concealed his identity, ensuring that the focus remained on divine truth rather than personal recognition.
This narrative begins with his childhood and traces a journey shaped by spiritual inheritance and personal discipline.
Childhood Roots and Spiritual Lineage
The Sufi Saint was born into a household where worldly business and spiritual legacy coexisted. His father was a businessman, but his grandfather was a devoted follower of the Naqshbandi order, spiritually connected to Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Sani (R.A.). The grandfather was deeply observant, pious, and spiritually awakened.
From an early age, the child felt an extraordinary attachment to his grandfather. He spent most of his time in his company, absorbing spiritual wisdom silently through presence rather than instruction.
Early Devotion and Unusual Spiritual Signs
At a young age, he memorised the Holy Qur’an while continuing his formal school education. During adolescence, he began experiencing dreams unlike ordinary dreams. When he shared these visions with his grandfather, the elder immediately recognised their spiritual significance and foresaw that his grandson would one day become a true Sufi Saint.
While other youths were drawn toward entertainment and distractions, he naturally gravitated toward worship, remembrance (dhikr), and disciplined spiritual routines.
Academic Excellence Without Worldly Ambition
He completed his Bachelor’s degree with distinction, securing first position. Despite this achievement, his family felt disappointed that such intellectual brilliance was not being used to pursue wealth or worldly comfort. However, his heart was firmly inclined toward religious knowledge and divine realisation.
Eventually, he traveled to Jamia Al-Azhar for higher Islamic studies, where his spiritual journey deepened further. Knowledge blended seamlessly with practice, and practice was refined through sincerity.
Return, Inheritance, and a Quiet Family Life
After returning to Pakistan, his grandfather passed away, but not before transferring his spiritual legacy to this devoted grandson. Along with spiritual trust, he also left him a portion of his worldly property.
At his family’s insistence, he married and was blessed with a righteous, understanding spouse who supported his spiritual path. He moved into the house inherited from his grandfather and began working as a lecturer at Multan University.
Spiritual Insight Revealed Against His Will
A remarkable incident occurred when stolen university degrees were recovered through his spiritual insight. This event unintentionally exposed his inner capabilities, and people began approaching him with personal problems and requests.
Although the Sufi Saint helped people through prayer, remembrance, and supplication, he continuously redirected their attention toward Allah, emphasising that true power belongs to God alone.
A Night of Destiny and a Divine Indication
While visiting a village to offer condolences for a deceased student, his vehicle broke down, forcing him to spend the night there. That night, he encountered a wandering faqir who delivered a profound message: Allah would soon take great service for His creation through him.
After this encounter, his worship, discipline, and spiritual struggle intensified dramatically.
Choosing Anonymity Over Recognition
Soon after, he received a spiritual indication to leave the city and move to Karachi. There, he embraced complete anonymity, living a retired and secluded life. He minimised social interaction and consciously remained hidden, desiring that people turn their hearts toward Allah, not toward him.
The Eternal Lesson of the Sufi Saint
The Sufi Saint teaches us that true success does not lie in fame, wealth, or social status. It resides in sincerity, piety, and a deep connection with Allah. Genuine saints remain in the background, silently guiding others toward divine presence.

اللہ تعالیٰ کے نیک بندے اس زمین پر اس کی رحمت کی چلتی پھرتی نشانیاں ہوتے ہیں۔ ان کی زندگیوں میں سادگی، اخلاص، انکسار اور تقویٰ نمایاں ہوتا ہے۔ وہ نہ شہرت کے خواہاں ہوتے ہیں، نہ کرامت کے دعوے دار، بلکہ ان کا اصل مقصد مخلوقِ خدا کو خالقِ حقیقی سے جوڑنا ہوتا ہے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ حقیقی اللہ والے کبھی یہ نہیں چاہتے کہ لوگ ان کے گرد حلقہ بنا کر بیٹھیں یااپنی حاجات ان کےپاس لےکر آئیں، بلکہ وہ دلوں کو اس یقین پر قائم کرتے ہیں کہ عطا کرنے والا صرف اللہ ہے، اور بندہ محض وسیلہ۔
بدقسمتی سے ہمارا اجتماعی رویہ یہ بن چکا ہے کہ جیسے ہی ہمیں کسی صاحبِ حال یا صاحبِ کرامت بزرگ کا علم ہوتا ہے، ہم دعاؤں اور حاجات کی پوٹلی اٹھائے ان کے در پر جا پہنچتے ہیں، حالانکہ اللہ تعالیٰ خود اپنے بندوں کو براہِ راست پکارنے کی دعوت دیتا ہے۔ اسی سوچ کے تحت بہت سے اللہ والے گم نامی کو اختیار کرتے ہیں، تاکہ لوگوں کا رخ اللہ کی طرف رہے، نہ کہ بندوں کی طرف۔
ایسے ہی ایک اللہ والے کی سچی آپ بیتی آوازِاردو نے اپنی ایک ویڈیو میں پڑھ کر سنائی، جو ماہنامہ سرگزشت، جنوری 2012ء (پراسرار نمبر)میں شائع ہوئی تھی۔ یہ داستان ایک ایسے صوفی درویش کی ہے، جنہوں نے دانستہ اپنا نام مخفی رکھا، تاکہ لوگ ان کی ذات کے بجائے اللہ تعالیٰ پر توجہ مرکوز رکھیں۔
یہ بزرگ اپنی داستان کا آغاز اپنے بچپن سے کرتے ہیں۔ ان کے والد ایک کاروباری شخصیت تھے، مگر ان کے دادا کا شمار حضرت مجدد الف ثانیؒ کے سلسلۂ نقشبندیہ کے ایک بزرگ کے مریدوں میں ہوتا تھا۔ دادا خود بھی صوم و صلوٰۃ کے پابند، متقی اور صاحبِ حال انسان تھے۔ بچپن ہی سے اس بچے کو اپنے دادا سے غیر معمولی فطری لگاؤ تھا۔ وہ زیادہ تر وقت انہی کے پاس رہنا پسند کرتا اور ان کی صحبت سے فیض یاب ہوتا۔
نوعمری ہی میں انہوں نے قرآنِ پاک حفظ کرلیا، ساتھ ہی اسکول میں عصری تعلیم کا سلسلہ بھی جاری رکھا۔ نوجوانی میں انہیں ایسے خواب آنے لگے جو عام خوابوں سے مختلف ہوتے۔ جب وہ یہ خواب اپنے دادا کو سناتے تو دادا فوراً سمجھ جاتے کہ ان کا یہ پوتا آئندہ چل کر ایک بڑا اللہ والا بنے گا۔ بچپن ہی سے عبادات، اذکار اور اوراد و وظائف کا اہتمام ان کی عادت بن چکا تھا، جبکہ نوجوانوں کے عام تفریحی مشاغل سے وہ ہمیشہ دور ہی رہے۔
انہوں نے بی۔اے کا امتحان امتیازی حیثیت سے پاس کیا اور پہلی پوزیشن حاصل کی، مگر گھر والے اس بات پر ناخوش تھے کہ اتنی ذہانت کے باوجود انہوں نے کسی ایسے شعبے کا انتخاب کیوں نہ کیا جس سے دنیاوی آسائشیں اور مالی فوائد حاصل ہوتے۔ تاہم ان کا میلان ابتدا ہی سے علمِ دین اور معرفتِ الٰہی کی طرف تھا۔
بالآخر وہ اسلامی علوم کی اعلیٰ تعلیم کے لیے جامعۃ الازہر چلے گئے۔ وہاں بھی ان کا روحانی سفر پوری آب و تاب سے جاری رہا۔ علم کے ساتھ ساتھ عمل، اور عمل کے ساتھ اخلاص ان کی شخصیت کا حصہ بنتا چلا گیا۔ پاکستان واپسی کے کچھ ہی عرصے بعد ان کے دادا کا انتقال ہوگیا، مگر اس سے پہلے وہ اپنا سارا باطنی فیض اپنے اس ہونہار پوتے کے سپرد کرچکے تھے۔ اس کے علاوہ اپنی دنیاوی جائیداد کا کچھ حصہ بھی انہوں نے اسی کے لیے چھوڑ دیا تھا۔
گھر والوں کے اصرار پر انہوں نے شادی کرلی، اور اللہ تعالیٰ نے انہیں ایک نہایت باکردار، نیک سیرت اور فہم رکھنے والی شریکِ حیات عطا کی، جس نے ان کے لیے نیکی اور عبادت کے راستے پر چلنا مزید آسان بنا دیا۔ شادی کے کچھ عرصے بعد وہ اپنے دادا کے عطیہ کیے ہوئے مکان میں منتقل ہوگئے اور ساتھ ہی ملتان یونیورسٹی میں بطور لیکچرار ملازمت اختیار کرلی۔
یہیں ایک غیر معمولی واقعہ پیش آیا۔ یونیورسٹی کی ڈگریاں چوری کرنے والا شخص ان کی روحانی بصیرت کے ذریعے پکڑا گیا، اور یوں لوگوں پر ان کی باطنی قوت آشکار ہونے لگی۔ اس واقعے کے بعد لوگ اپنی حاجات اور مسائل لے کر ان کے پاس آنے لگے۔ وہ مراقبہ، دم، درود اور دعا کے ذریعے لوگوں کے مسائل حل کرنے لگے، مگر ہر موقع پر انہیں اللہ کی طرف متوجہ کرتے رہے۔
ایک دن ایک طالب علم کے انتقال پر تعزیت کے لیے انہیں اس کے گاؤں جانا پڑا۔ واپسی پر گاڑی خراب ہوگئی اور رات انہیں وہیں گاڑی میں گزارنی پڑی۔ اسی رات ان کی ملاقات ایک فقیر سے ہوئی، جس نے انہیں یہ مژدہ سنایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان سے اپنی مخلوق کی خدمت کا بڑا کام لے گا۔ اس ملاقات کے بعد ان کی عبادات، ریاضت اور مجاہدے میں غیر معمولی اضافہ ہوگیا۔
پھر انہیں ایک غیبی اشارہ ملا کہ اب انہیں یہ شہر چھوڑ کر کراچی منتقل ہوجانا چاہیے۔ چنانچہ وہ کراچی آگئے اور یہاں گم نامی کی زندگی اختیار کرلی۔ وہ زیادہ لوگوں سے نہیں ملتے، ریٹائرڈ زندگی گزار رہے ہیں، اور چاہتے ہیں کہ ان کی ذات پسِ پردہ رہے، جبکہ لوگوں کا تعلق براہِ راست اللہ تعالیٰ سے جڑا رہے۔
اس گم نام صوفی درویش کی زندگی ہمیں یہ سبق دیتی ہے کہ اصل کامیابی شہرت، دولت یا دنیاوی منصب میں نہیں، بلکہ اخلاص، تقویٰ اور اللہ سے مضبوط تعلق میں ہے۔ حقیقی اللہ والے وہی ہیں جو خود پس منظر میں رہ کر لوگوں کو اللہ کے حضور جھکنا سکھاتے ہیں۔ یہ داستان ہمیں یاد دلاتی ہے کہ اگر نیت خالص ہو تو اللہ خود راستے کھول دیتا ہے، اور بندے کو وہاں پہنچا دیتا ہے جہاں اس سے اس کی مخلوق کی بھلائی کا کام لیا جانا ہو۔
ایسی زندگیاں چراغِ راہ ہوتی ہیں، جو خاموشی سے جلتی ہیں، مگر دوسروں کے اندھیروں کو روشن کر دیتی ہیں۔
