کیاگیا توتحقیق کی گئی کہ اب، یعنی تیس سال بعد ان مقامات اورشخصیات کےکیاحالات ہیں
یوں ماضی کارشتہ حال سے جوڑاگیاہے۔ اس کتاب میں سے ایک مضمون کااقتباس اس ویڈیومیں سنایاجارہاہےجوحیدرآباد دکن کی سیاحت سے متعلق ہے۔ انہوں نےوہاں ایک مشاعرے میں شرکت کی اورمیزبانوں کی جانب سےانہیں حیدرآباد کےتعلیمی ادارے دکھائےگئے۔ ان اداروں میں سب سے اہم نام عثمانیہ یونیورسٹی کا ہے جہاں کا فرش کسی زمانے میں اتنا شفاف ہوتاتھاکہ طلباء اس میں دیکھ کراپنے بال بنالیتے تھے۔ مگر اب اس پردھول جمی ہوئی تھی اورپڑھائی کامعیار بھی دگرگوں تھا۔
ایک شہزادے کاتذکرہ ہے،جنہوں نےاپنا محل انجینیئرنگ کالج کےلئے وقف کردیا۔ اس کالج کی افتتاحی تقریب میں بھی مصنف نےشرکت کی۔ جناب رضاعلی عابدی ان لوگوں میں سے ہیں،جن کا نہ صرف اندازِتحریر پڑھنےوالےکوجکڑلیتاہے، بلکہ اندازِگفتگو بھی سحرانگیز ہے۔ وہ عرصہءدراز تک بی۔بی۔سی۔ لندن سےوابستہ رہے اورکئی کتابیں تصنیف کیں۔ فیس بک پر ان کاکالم “لفظوں کاسفر” بہت مقبول ہے، جس میں وہ مختلف اردوالفاظ کی تاریخ بتاتے ہیں۔ یوں اردودانی کے حوالےسے بھی ان کا نام معروف ہے۔
آوازِاردو ان کی کئی تحاریر اب تک پیش کرچکاہے۔ ایک کتاب دریائے سندھ سے متعلق ہے۔ چوں کہ وہ ریڈیوبراڈکاسٹر رہےہیں، اس لئے ایک کتاب ریڈیواسٹیشن میں گزارے دنوں کی یادداشتوں پرمشتمل ہے۔
