یہ قصہ ہمیں لے چلتا ہے اُن دنوں میں، جب پاکستان کے ہوٹلوں میں “بکرا” کہہ کر کچھ اور ہی گوشت پیش کیا جا رہا تھا — جی ہاں، گدھے کا گوشت!
اسی معاشرتی تلخی کو مزاح کے آئینے میں ڈھالتے ہوئے کاشف زبیر نے ایک شان دار کہانی تخلیق کی۔
کہانی کے دومرکزی کردارجلیل اور راجاہیں، راجا کے والد ایک محنت کش دھوبی ہیں اور ان کے روزگار کا انحصار ایک پیارے سے گدھے پر ہے۔ ایک صبح وہی گدھا پراسرار طور پر غائب ہو جاتا ہے۔ بس پھر کیا تھا! راجا اور جلیل گدھے کو ڈھونڈنے نکل کھڑے ہوتے ہیں، اور ان کی یہ مہم ایک زبردست مزاحیہ مہم میں بدل جاتی ہے۔
پہلا شک جاتا ہے “شہزادہ کڑاہی ہاؤس” والے شہزادہ پر۔ دونوں دوستوں کو یقین ہو جاتا ہے کہ اسی نے گدھے کو کڑاہی میں بدل دیا ہوگا۔ انتقاماً یہ دونوں شہزادہ کا “بکرا” اغوا کر لیتے ہیں اور پیغام دیتے ہیں:
“گدھا واپس کرو، ورنہ بکرا نہیں ملےگا!”
لیکن قسمت کا کھیل دیکھیے: جس بکرے کو انہوں نے اغوا کیا، وہ تو شہزادہ کا تھا ہی نہیں! وہ بکرا تو علاقے کے ایک خطرناک بدمعاش نے “امانتاً” شہزادہ کے پاس رکھا تھا۔ اس بدمعاش کے آدمی بعد ازاں اس بکرے کو وہاں سے لےجاتے ہیں،جہاں ان دوستوں نے بکرے کو اغوا کرکے امانتاً رکھوایاتھا۔یوں وہ بے چارہ بکرا بلاواسطہ اپنے اصل مالک کے پاس پہنچ جاتا ہے!
ادھر جلیل اور راجا گدھے کی تلاش میں ایک ایسے سلاٹر ہاؤس جا پہنچتے ہیں جہاں گدھوں کو گوشت اور کھال کی خاطر ذبح کر کے چائنا ایکسپورٹ کیا جا رہا ہوتا ہے۔ یہ منظر دیکھ کر دونوں کی روحیں کانپ اٹھتی ہیں، لیکن پھر بھی گدھے کا کچھ اتا پتا نہیں ملتا۔
رات گئے، تھکے ہارے، دل شکستہ، دونوں دوست جب راجا کے گھر واپس پہنچتے ہیں، تو کیا دیکھتے ہیں؟ گدھا گھر کے اندر موجود ہے!
